GRAND THEFT AUTO 2 is a game developed by one of the most popular computer game studios in the world - Rockstar Games, which became famous precisely thanks to such series as Grand Theft Auto (GTA). The concept is quite simple: become a hired assassin for any number of organized crime families in the city and follow their orders with no questions asked. From such easy tasks as killing a horde of Elvis to the more difficult duty of bringing down an entire SWAT team, the range of missions is as wide as it is brutal.
Blasting innocent civilians and cops will continue to help you earn cash, and if that's not enough, you can always stick to the art of carjacking and slam your hapless victim into the sidewalk. This is definitely not a game for parents who like to keep a close eye on the gory level of their kids' video game content. While this may sound awful to most normal people, all of the mayhem can actually be quite entertaining. Watching the screen as dozens of crazed citizens run to save their lives as you pull out that rocket launcher is more fun than you might think. Even if violent games aren't usually your fairy tale, the comical way you deal with the bloody carnage in Grand Theft Auto 2 should pique your interest, even if it only lasts a moment. Graphically, there isn't much to single out here. The dark and atmospheric visuals are reminiscent of something out of an old cop movie from the 1970s. While the program is much faster compared to its PlayStation counterpart, the overall speed of the game suffers for the sake of beauty. Unfortunately, that's the price you pay for good looks.
